Cafe Hawkers @CP

I still remember having gone to this place last month on a romantic date. We spent a wonderful memorable evening in a superb ambience with music & some really exotic marvelous food. It is a new & cozy outlet with sitting capacity of 70 persons. This beautiful café is extended across two floors. The interior & décor of this place is eye catching be it attractive graffiti, walls covered with green grass, cycle Legged Chairs giving the look of street hawker’s cart or the framed posters with interesting things written thereon.
This Café has a novel concept of CRAZY HOURS (6pm to 8pm daily) wherein they offer drinks (IMFL & Beer) exactly at cost price without any profit margin. Further they organize LADIES NIGHT every Saturday (08pm onwards) offering selective drinks (on-the-house) to ladies.

It is a multi-cuisine restaurant offering a variety of delicacies including North Indian, Italian, Continental, Mexican and Japanese, inter alia.

They have a rich bar, offering a variety of drinks and cocktails. We ordered Mimosa & Long Island Ice Tea, had perfect blend, very refreshing and delectable. Other recommended cocktails include Black Russian, Bellini and Sex on the Beach.

STARTERS – For starters we had Kamal Kakdi ki Chaat (Lotus Stem Chaat), Chicken 65 (Chef Signature), Prawn Tempura, Kali Mirch Fish Tikka and Spring Vegetables & Feta Cheese Burger.

Kamal Kakdi Ki Chaat – It was something that I had never tasted before; just awesome. Lotus Stem slices were deep fried and served on lettuce & other ingredients of chaat. Must Try.

Chicken 65 – These are small & crispy deep fried pieces of chicken, prepared in South Indian Style i.e. Chicken pieces nicely sautéed in curry leaves & black mustard seeds.

Prawn Tempura – These Japanese styled prawns were crisp & palatable, served with green dip.
Kali Mirch Fish Tikka – Fish Tikka was very fresh & soft, really delectable to taste buds.

MAIN COURSE – In Main Course we had Laal Maas, Garlic Naan, Steamed Rice and Mixed Raita

On the suggestion of one of their staff members we decided to order Laal Maas in main course. Tender boneless mutton pieces, prepared in flavourful dark red coloured thick masala gravy and were temptingly tasty. It really went well with Naan & Rice.

In desserts they have various pastries & mousse., sourced from outside We decided to have Mango Mousse, which was Delicious.

My overall experience was excellent. Definitely worth visiting again as they keep serving delicious food with appreciable customer service. The service staff was attentive, courteous and polite and on their toes to serve us. I would like to make a special mention of Mr RajKumar Gaur, their Manager (F&B) who attended promptly and ensured that we were served the best. He was also quite keen at taking our feedback for further improvements.
