Bijori Grill

If you give me a choice between having a fancy classy outlandish dinner at some restaurant and having a desi traditional food at a joint, I am most probably going with the latter. The reason why I would choose the traditional food is because I am an avid believer of the fact that the real taste always lies in ‘ghar ka khana.’ This interest has made me across a lot of places in this city which are famous for their traditional food and are doing very well in the industry. Tucked away on the Barakhamba road, Bijori Grill though might not be as famous as its contemporaries but it still serves some nice food of which I have always been a fan.
I first went to this place with a friend of mine who first told me about and have been coming here ever since. They house a fine variety of items from different traditional cuisines like Bengali and North Indian and also serve a few items from the Chinese cuisine. Although I have never been fully satisfied with their service, I still feel that the staff out here is hospitable and the only problem is that they usually take quite a while to serve the orders.
Went here a few days back with some family friends and tried out the following-
1). PANEER TIKKA- A bit improperly grilled yet fine in taste.
2). CHICKEN DO PIYAZA- Cooked in a spicy red gravy along with fresh capsicums and juicy chicken pieces.
3). BANGLA PULAO- Cooked with traditional Bengali flavors. Had a very nice taste.
That was all that Bijori served me this and just like always I was not disappointed. Although I do have some suggestions to make which would include expansion of the menu and betterment of the service.
Rest everything at Bijori Grill seems to be in place.
Worth trying at least once.
