Zerruco @Hotel Ashok

I had heard a lot about this place situated in Ashok hotel  from many of my friends. I finally got  a chance to visit it last month. Famous for Mediterranean and Italian fine dining, this place is an absolute delight for foodies like me. Zerruco literally enlivens the sheer bliss of some exclusive delicacies on the table comprising good food and drinks of all genres, setting standards of culinary authenticity and genuineness. Sumptuous food, great drinks & dazzling ambience is all I remember.

DECOR & AURA:
1
The classy & eye catching décor of this place enraptured my senses. Rich upholstered sofa and seats, embellished walls, beautiful European lamps and chandeliers give this place a perfect classy look.

We got chance to taste a lot of things here, as we were in a large group. They have a very rich menu, which was brilliantly designed keeping in mind the tastes of all Mediterranean genres.

DRINKS/COCKTAILS/MOCKTAILS
2
We refreshed ourselves with many drinks including Capi, Surprise, Pink River, Aromatic Melody, Tropical Bloom, Orange Blossom and Rosemary Cider.

Orange Blossom: An awesome mocktail, with a refreshing combination of Orange, Peach, Mint, Strawberry and citrus flavours.
3
Rosemary Cider: It had a tangy taste with hint of apple and aroma of rosemary.

Tropical Bloom- Creamy, milky texture with fruity gem dispersed on the sides.

APPETISERS
4
The main attraction to me was the Chef’s special Non-veg Mezze Platter: The platter had Herb Mutton Seekh, Grilled Fish Prawns, Grilled Aubergine and Chicken Roulade. It also consisted Chickpea Salad, Hummus, Beetroot Hummus and Ezme Dips.

Mediterranean Falafel- Made with chickpea served with hummus and pita.

Grilled Riversole- Soft, and juicy Grilled fish served with garlic dip.

French Brie – Crunchy outside-creamy inside, this tasted really nice when taken with Cranberry Sauce.

Ortolana Pizza- Rich in veggies.

Calzone Etna- Loaded with cheese, spinach, mozzarella and parmesan.

MAIN COURSE
For main course we ordered Vegetable Tagine (Rich aromatic vegetable stew with olives and cous cous), Chicken Ablama (barbeque chicken coked with mushrooms and onions with flavourful spicy gravy), Valencia Paella and Chef Special Kabab Masakan. I must say, in all the delicacies, the taste and flavor were preserved very well. The spices made their presence felt though in a subtle way.

SALADS
Beetroot and Goat Cheese Salad- Superb Taste and awesome presentation.

Asparagus and Orange- Good but tangy and citrus in taste.

Grilled Chicken Pesto- Chicken pieces with bread crumbs and vegetables served with a dressing was of pesto. Must try.

DESSERTS
We satiated our sweet tooth with Homemade Tiramsu, Banoffee pie and Chocolate Decadence.
The desserts were sinfully indulgent.

MY TAKE
