Stylishbite has been to many restaurants offering barbeque starters followed by buffet, but this place had a different feel altogether. Located in the MGF Metropolitan Mall, Gurugaon (Now Gurugram), this place can brag about is ultimate desi culinary treat that it offers to its customers both among the barbeque starters and the main course. It was a sheer bliss spending some two hours with a group of friends and hogging on the temptingly scrumptious delicacies.
As I entered this place, the interiors impressed me to the core. We were escorted by an attendant to the table which had an inbuilt provision for getting your own barbeque starters made and served hot.
For drinks I ordered vodka with orange juice followed by 100 pipers in coke. I initially had no plans to booze but the delectable atsrters that they serve compel you to compliment with a dose of alcohol.
Skewers after skewers, we were served the starters and having them cooked to your perfect taste on the barbeque was quite a delight.
Veg: I tried Crispy Corn, it was well prepared and crispy, I really relished every bit of it while sipping on my drinks.
Then we had Hara Bhara Kebab, Cumin Scented Grilled Pineapple and Red and White Sauce Pasta. Eevrything was great in taste, though I am not a vegetarian guy.
For Non Veg Starters I tried, Peri Peri prawns, meticulously marinated and flavoured with the best blend of spices. Loved it.
Further, I ordered small portions of Roasted Chickenand Tandoori Momos. The tandoori momo was the only thing which tasted average.
I also liked the Achari Seekh Kebab, Thai Herbs Fish Cake, Kandhari Seena Kebab and. Schezwan Style Chicken Wings. They all tasted fantastic.
Dal Makhni: Had heard a lot from friends about the dal makhni offered by this place, and found every word true. Yes, their Dal Makhni is matchless. Despite being a hardcore non-vegetarian, I realised that I have had too much of Dal makhni with steamed rice without paying attention to the chicken and mutton items. Moving on, I had some Chicken delicacies including KMurg Peshawari and Dum Murgh Biryani.
When I tasted the Awadi Gosht, I was speechless. Never has mutton been so soft, juicy and aromatic. I specially enquired about the preparation and the chef explained that the secret behind this awesome taste is the fact that they do not purchase mutton if the goat’s weight exceeds 8 Kgs.
I also had a variety of roti, bread and naan. Many varieties of rice including pulav, steamed rice and biryani.
I tried Aam Phirni, Zuzups, Kiwi Mousse, Blueberry Muffin, Coconut Balls with Chocolate, Gulab Jamun and my all time favourite Moong Dal Halwa. All items were perfectly prepared and I liked every bit of it.
When you find a place with such prompt service and superb food, you definitely wish to go there again and again. I highly recommend this place for its food, ambience and service.
