Piali -The Curry Bistro @ CP

New Delhi is not only the political capital of India, it is also a cosmopolitan city at its best, boasting a wide range of outstanding cafes, award winning restaurants and memorable local eateries. There are a lot of places in New Delhi which are famous for their mouth watering food and Connaught Place is one among them. With a lot of commendable restaurants and cafes opening up in this place, I decided to visit Piali with great expectations.

Overlooking the awesome ambience, this place is built beautifully with a partition of three separate parts comprising the Lounge, the Dining area and the Bar. The interiors of the place is marvelous with aesthetic decors adorned with elegant designs and posters. Another striking feature of the Piali is its commodious seating place with huge outdoors. The menu had several items listed out of which we ordered-

For Beverages-

Peachy Slush- Really rejuvenating with a yummy taste.

Pink Lady- A Mocktail that felt fresh and a boon in summers.

Virgin Mojito- Slightly Citric in flavor and thoroughly enjoyable.

Vietnamese pho soup- Easy soup to fall in love with. Those chewy noodles were delicious.

For Starters-

Chilli Chicken- Juicy chicken pieces mixed perfectly sauce and chillies. Quite pleasurable.

Chole and Anjeer ki seekh- For those who might not know, Anjeer is a delicious fruit commonly used for nutrition purpose. It was a new dish that a tried and was not disappointed. Recommend it to all those who haven’t had it before.

Corn Tempura- These were small and crispy breadcrumbed fired food rolls with an amazing dip sauce served at Piali. (RECOMMENDED)

Khasta Ki Chaat- Spicy and tangy with delectable chutneys and yoghurt.

Khumb Aur Singhade ki Galouti- I, personally was unsatisfied with this preparation as it seemed a bit tasteless. Should be avoided unless required.

We also had Chicken satay, kolhapuri pomfret and fish tikka, all of which were good.

For the Main Course-

Lucknowi Chicken Korma- Probably the best dish of the day. (STRONGLY RECOMMENDED)

Sri Lankan Chicken Curry- Served hot with pol roti, this dish was relishing.

Burmese Chicken Curry- Faintly spiced with fish sauce, Quite enjoyable though.

Dal Palak- Outstanding mingling of palak and dal along with a topping of desi ghee and does wonders when tried with rice.

For the desserts, the pineapple halwa is highly recommended.

The services were decent and the staffs were cordial. A very nice place to eat delicious food at a reasonable price. Piali is recommend to all those people who like to experiment and try out new stuffs. Such people will definitely have a cherishing experience. I would visit it again and again and so should you.

Have a remarkable eating experience! 
