38 Barracks @ CP

This is a newly opened restro-bar which not only serves an array of sumptuous cuisines including North Indian, American, Chinese & Continental but also has a fantastic range of drinks on its bar menu. It is located in outer circle of Connaught Place. Unlike the usual Army Barrack where you can only visualise a garrison of famished soldiers, this place is all about opulent culinary delights and grandeur.

INTERIORS & AMBIENCE
barracked
The ambience & decor of the place are pretty elegant & stunning with dim lighting adding to the overall feel. This place derives its theme and inspiration from Army Officer’s Bungalow. More specifically it beautifully manifests the richness and sophistication of a Colonel’s Home. Here you’ll find trophies, badges, medals, guns, family photos, and even his clothes and accessories. On the walls, it showcases Army Officers Caps, bar, books, Paintings, Guns, Rifles, Medals, Handcuff and other arms & ammunitions.

As I entered this place, I was mesmerized by the overall ambience. DJ Sahil was playing awesome Punjabi & bollywood songs and everyone looked tickled pink & was having whale of a time.

They have commodious seating area which is divided in different sections like that of a Colonel’s house viz. locker room, the living room, and the balcony. If you walk along living room area, you find good comfortable cushioned sofa where you can relax & chill out while treating your eyes with a beautifully decorated rich bar & fine military decor of the place.

We were a group of eight, so we got a chance to explore and taste various dishes and drinks. Just mentioning the select few for you:-

STARTERS

In starters we had Clash of clans, Khumb Ki Galouti, Paneer Tikka Barrels, Malaysian Military Chicken Satay, Spanakopita with mirchi vada, Grilled fish, Smoked Chicken & Scarmoza Risotto, Chicken Duet tikka, Battalion samosa booster, Barbecue chicken wings.

Battalion Samosa booster was great in taste, it was stuffed with yummy, spicy and juicy keema, really delectable to taste buds. Must Try.
barrack 3
Clash of Clans was a scrumptious combo of classic fish’ n’ chips & ajwaini mahi tikka.

Smoked Chicken & Scarmoza Risotto was tossed with chicken & mozzarella cheese & was really good in taste.

Barbeque Chicken wings were temptingly tasty.

BEVERAGES

In drinks we had Watermelon cucumber mojito, Ambush bliss, watermelon mint mojito, virgin cosmopolitan, hulk, Blue berry bunta and Orange Bunta. Watermelon Cucumber Mojito is one of the tastiest drinks I have ever had. Served in a glass placed in a huge bowl with nitrogen fumes oozing out of it, giving it just an awesome look.
We also tried hookah in lemon flavor. I found it really good and refreshing as compared to other flavours.

MAIN COURSE

In main course, we had Garlic Naan, Daal Makhani, Butter Chicken and Awadhi Murg Biryani. Everything was just great in taste. Amazingly heavenly food. Words fail to describe this place with such orgasmic food.

DESSERTS

I tried Red Velvet Cake and it was simply delish. I just loved it.

The staff here was quite courteous and service was also prompt. What impressed me more was the eagerness of the management to know our response and feedback in order to improve. A fantastic place to hang out. Definitely worth a visit. Add to your wishlist and give it a try guys.
